New Lodge is Well Under Way

Masonic Officers Are Installed and Charter is Presented- Many Guests Present

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Nov. 2,- The local Masonic lodge, No. 380, F. & A.M. celebrated last night, the occasion being the installation of officers and the presentation of a charter, which they have been awaiting for some time.

Grand Junior Warden of the State Oscar Lawler instituted the new lodge.

Guests to the number of 200 responded to invitations sent out, and came in from every direction, many from Los Angeles, Long Beach and Santa Ana, and after the institution of the lodge and installation of officers, the lodge was closed and all members and their guests adjourned to the Huntington Inn, where an elaborate banquet was served, after which short addressed were made by Master A. W. Griffith and Grand Junior Warden of the State Oscar Lawler, who told of the objects and purposes of Freemasonry. Rev. E. E. Clough of Westminster, A. L. Reed and Dr. F. E. Wilson of Huntington Beach also gave some interesting remarks. The officers of the grand lodge of the state who officiated in the installation here were, Grand Junior Warden of the State Oscar Lawler, Deputy Grand Marshal Clark H. Shaw of Long Beach, Deputy Grand Secretary S. L. Blodget of Huntington Beach, Deputy Grand Chaplain Rev. E. E. Clough of Westminster, Cal.
